Migrant-rights.org
Ensaniyat Project Manager
Kuwait/Qatar
I am a 26 year old Kuwaiti with a Bachelors Degree in International Relations and a minor in History. Always having been passionate about human rights and law, I joined the Migrant-rights.org Team as Ensaniyat's Project Manager in 2017 where I have worked with over 140 youth fellows in the Gulf on advocacy campaigns to enhance dialogue and conversations about migrant workers rights in the region. I focus on social behaviors and attitudes that contribute to migrant worker's abuse and combats them by encouraging employers and youth groups within societies to question their employment and attitude choices which have greatly impacted worker's chances at enjoying decent working environments in the region. In the near future, I plan on pursuing an LLM in International Human Rights Law with the hopes of becoming a lawyer and influencing policies in Kuwait such as legalizing Worker's Unions and improving implementation and monitoring mechanisms of current laws that have previously failed to protect migrant and domestic workers.
